What are the Requirements to Obtain a TN Visa?
The foreign worker must be a Canadian or Mexican citizen.
The employer must be engaging the foreign worker to work in the United States.
The employer must be engaging the foreign worker to work as a ‘professional’ as listed in the North American Free Trade Agreement. See the list of TN professions.
The foreign worker must possess the qualifications to practice the profession as evidenced by a college degree, license, membership or other relevant credential that establishes professional status as required by the North American Free Trade Agreement.
